Warehouse Parts Person

Our client is seeking a Warehouse Parts Person to join their team and order repair parts that are needed by field and shop technicians to perform repairs. You will inform technicians which parts are in stock and order parts from local or national vendors as needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in parts ordering and working in a shop environment.

Full-time, 7:30am-4:30pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$22 an hour

Responsibilities

• Receive parts orders from the service department field and shop technicians.
• Order parts for the shop assuring that the correct part numbers are entered for the specific model and serial number of the machine or component involved.
• Advise staff which parts are in stock, which have to be backordered from the mainland, including the estimated time of arrival of backordered parts.
• Inform field technicians where to pick up parts ordered from local suppliers.
• Prepare and get approval for purchase orders.
• Study manufacturer’s parts and service bulletins to keep informed of the latest developments in machine design and parts changeovers.
• Maintain technical knowledge of the repair parts relating to the products serviced by the shop.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in parts ordering and working in a shop environment.
• Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
