Brewery Tech

A local brewery in Kona is looking for two Techs on a full-time basis. In this role, you be working in the brewing facility monitoring the progress of the beer during the production cycle, packing the beer, and loading/unloading delivery trucks.

The ideal candidate will be available full-time Monday-Friday, reliable, and have a great attitude. Open to entry-level and experienced candidates.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$22 to $24 an hour, Based on Experience

Responsibilities

• Support the safeguarding of raw materials for quality assurance and for accurate inventory.
• Monitor progress of beer through production cycle.
• Operate high speed packaging equipment.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform equipment maintenance, regular sanitation, and housekeeping.
• Drive forklift as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Brewing industry experience, and/or manufacturing production experience is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of brewing, fermentation and the finishing stage of beer production.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction accurately.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel.
• Ability to pass pre-employment state and federal background check and drug test.
