Accountant

A local construction company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team and manage the day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger entries.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree and 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.

Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay

$60,000 to $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Manage financial documentation and records. * Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist with audit preparations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or working towards CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
• Previous experience in Sage 300 or Sage Intacct, CRM, and Procore highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
