Q. Who should I call if I can’t make a shift?

A. If you are unable to make a scheduled shift, you must call an ALTRES Medical coordinator immediately at (808) 591-4960 or toll free at (888) 868-1600.

Q. How can I pick up extra shifts?

A. If you are interested in picking up extra shifts, all you need to do is contact your ALTRES Medical coordinator who may be able to arrange additional work.

Q. Does ALTRES Medical work with travel nurses?

A. Yes. We offer travel nurse opportunities throughout Hawaii. Travel nurses already working here are also welcome to pick up extra shifts with us.

Q. Do I need a minimum number of shifts?

A. No. You do not need to work a minimum number of shifts for ALTRES Medical. We offer flexible scheduling opportunties for you to choose how little or how much you'd like to work.

Q. How much and when will I get paid?

A. ALTRES Medical offers competitive pay to its employees. Pay rates are determined by your medical license category. Weekly and daily pay is available.

Q. Does ALTRES Medical offer benefits?

A. We offer employer-paid health and dental insurance, 40-hour paid vacation, holiday pay, 401k retirement savings plan (with matching!), and bonus and referral programs to all qualified employees. Q. If I apply, do I have to accept an assignment through ALTRES Medical?

A. No. You do not have to accept an assignment. However, if you do, each assignment should be approached with a sincere commitment.

Q. Is there a cost to apply for a medical position?

A. No. There is no cost to apply with ALTRES Medical and there is no cost to you when ALTRES Medical places you in a position.

Q. What documents / certifications will be required when I apply?

A. When you apply with ALTRES Medical, you will be required to show proof of Hawaii certification or licensure. Confirmation of having had a physical, TB test, and CPR certification will also be required. Your prior work experience will be verified and two work-related references are necessary. A criminal background check will also be performed.
