It was nice - for a week. Restless, Bill noticed how much trouble a Navy shipyard was having in finding quality, productive help for short-term projects. The government seemed willing to pay for a simple solution.

Bill couldn't resist and Labor Services, Inc. was born. The company's original location in Waikiki near the beach allowed Bill to raise a flag outside of the building to signal nearby surfers that there was work that day.

The business grew rapidly. As the company's clients faced new business challenges, the Guss family found new business solutions; clerical staffing, receivables management and outsourced human resources services.

Each business line grew in its own right, but they all had one idea in common: Making Business Simple. It only seemed natural to bring all of the tools together under one roof.
