Q. How is the employee paid?

A. Our standard payroll plan is to pay the employee each week, on Friday of the following week, with an employee submitting an approved time card by 12 noon each Monday. If you as a customer, would prefer to have the employee paid every two weeks, or once a month, that can be arranged. We withhold all Federal and State payroll and FICA taxes.

Q. What benefits does ALTRES Technical provide to the employee?

A. After the individual is on assignment for four weeks, working at least 20 hours or more per week, they are eligible for medical plan coverage. He, or she, is immediately covered by workers' compensation insurance, temporary disability, liability and errors and omissions insurance. We also offer lifestyle benefits such as group auto insurance, payroll deducted IRAs, theme park, movie pass, and health club discounts and much more...

Q. How are we billed?

A. After payroll processing is completed on Wednesday, invoices for the previous week (for which the contract employee has already been paid) are mailed to corporate clients on Thursday.

Q. What if I decide I want to hire this person?

A. You may. Please advise ALTRES Technical when you make that decision and we will verify that it is agreeable with the contract employee. ALTRES Technical's simple payroll transfer will be applied to your requirement.

Q. Do I have any guarantee on the skill or ability of the technical employee?

A. ALTRES Staffing has a guarantee for both its temporary and direct-hire programs. If a temporary employee is not working out on an assignment, call an ALTRES Technical personnel manager immediately. A replacement will be sent and you will not be charged for any unsatisfactory work. Our direct-hire program comes with a 100-day guarantee. If a candidate on the direct-hire program proves unsatisfactory within the first 30 days, we will refund your fee in full. A refund will be prorated if your dissatisfaction occurs after 30 day, up until 100 days.

Q. What if I need a team of technicians?

A. We have often provided teams, usually with a designated supervisor who is also a contract employee. The size and scope of the team can be from small to large.

Q. Will you visit our facility or job site?

A. We always encourage doing so. When a personnel manager visits your facility, he/she can better grasp the type of experience, training and personality type which will be most effective in your company.

Q. Do you check references?

A. We take the reference check very seriously. Knowing whether the professional can do what he, or she, says they can do, efficiently and competently, is very important to us and we verify previous dates of employment and certificates, plus evaluations of previous supervisors.

Q. Who does the technical employee report to?

A. Though paid by ALTRES Technical, the individual reports only to you, or to whomever you designate, while on the project.

Q. Do you have qualified people who are immediately available?

A. Yes - many technical positions can be filled within a 48 hours. However, if you require highly specialized positions (i.e. Masters in Hydraulic Engineering with fluency in Japanese), your request may take longer.
