Civil Engineer

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in the Engineering, Architecture & Design Industry. This person will assist in the preparation of construction plans, cost estimates, engineering reports and studies, as well as visiting project sites, attending meetings, and preparing field and meeting reports. They will perform general civil engineering work including drafting and designing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The engineer will assist in the design of roadways, site grading, culverts, pipelines, drainage improvements, sewers, water systems, and sidewalks. Work also includes processing permits through County Agencies on all islands, Department of Health, Department of Defense, and State DOT.

Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$50,000 to $95,000 a year, Pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and planning civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, and buildings.
• Performing calculations, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
• Overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success.
• Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Resolving design and construction challenges as they arise.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles and standards, as well as environmental regulations.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience with a civil engineering firm preferred but not required.
• Experience in working with local authorities, environmental agencies, and other government entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• F.E. and/or P.E. Preferred.
