A local law firm is seeking a Japanese-speaking Administrative Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will support their legal professionals, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will schedule client appointments, prepare mailings, and provide general secretarial support to the Attorney(s) and Legal Assistants.

This role required you to be fluent in Business Japanese reading, writing, and speaking.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$25 to $29 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • File documents with the court and other relevant entities.
  • Manage correspondence and communications on behalf of the legal team.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents and forms.
  • Maintain and organize attorney calendars and schedules.
  • Support attorneys with billing and invoicing tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must have a notary license, or willing to obtain a notary license shorty after being hired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software applications.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills in English and Japanese.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
