Stone Fabricator / Installer

We are seeking a skilled Stone Fabricator to join one of our community leaders in high-end stone fabrication and installation in both commercial and residential spaces. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. With a focus on cutting, gluing, grinding, and polishing quartz and natural stone, you will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards. Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$30 to $40 an hour, Negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities

• Cut, glue, grind, and polish quartz and natural stone with precision.
• Follow job plans, cut sheets, and specification sheets to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Inspect all incoming slabs and outgoing countertops for scratches, fissures, and defects.
• Lift and handle large countertop pieces, both in the shop and on-site.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and job site.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, or cut sheets for accurate measurements.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
• Assist in problem-solving fabrication or installation issues.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the fabrication of natural stone or quartz; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with installation is desirable.
• Proficient in using and maintaining hand tools such as tape measures, grinders, and polishers.
• Strong adherence to craftsmanship standards, attention to detail, and quality control.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery and CAD software preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to produce quality work.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and communication skills.
• Driver's license preferred but not required.
