Senior Accountant

A company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant for a temporary position ending in August. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail property management accounting and be adept at handling various accounting responsibilities within the organization.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$85,000 to $95,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts receivable transactions.
• Process daily cash receipts, tenant billing, and sales reports.
• Assist with rent collections and be familiar with retail lease documents for bill adjustments.
• Maintain and update tenant master files.
• Coordinate the processing of monthly utility charges for tenants.
• Generate and review monthly tenant reports.

Qualifications

• BS degree in accounting, real estate, or finance, or three years of direct related work experience in an accounting department for a commercial property management or real estate company.
• Experience in Retail Property Management Accounting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of computerized commercial or retail property management accounting software and systems, with Yardi experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with commercial or retail lease documents and terminology.
• Strong knowledge and experience in accounting and general office procedures.
• Ability to maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic accounting and lease records.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate with staff, tenants, and vendors.
