A local company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to manage full-cycle payroll and maintain accurate employee data in a fast-paced, compliance-drien environment. This role will handle weekly payroll processing, ensure regulatory and policy adherence, administer benefits and deductions, and support coordinator between payroll, HR, and accounting teams. The ideal candidate values confidentiality, excels with time-sensitive work, and eis experienced in both union and non-union payroll environments.

$48,000 to $58,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Process and verify weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy of timekeeping and employee data.
- Maintain and update employee records, including onboarding, promotions, and terminations.
- Manage payroll deductions including garnishments, levies, and union-related fees.
- Coordinate with HR and accoutning to support reporting, compliance, and data consistency accorss systems.
- Generate and distribute reports such as overtime tracking, headcount, and leave balances.
- Validate employee charges and ensure proper classification in accordance with labor regulations.
- Set up and maintain pay structures, union rate, and fringe benefits in payroll systems.
- Prepare and submit trust fund and union-related reports; assist with audits and union-related inquiries.
- Distribute W-2s and support year-end reporting.
- Support new employee testing and tracking of participation in training programs.
- Maintain familiarity with all active labor agreements and their impact on payroll activities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of hands on payroll experience, including all core payroll functions.
- Experience with payroll for large teams (150+ employees); union payroll experience preferred.
- Familiarity with certified payroll processes is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and cloud-based systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and transaction flows within integrated platforms.
- Highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and professional discretion.
