Currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Payroll Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong clerical background who’s looking to grow their career in payroll and accounting or a seasoned payroll specialist.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4pmLocation
Hilo, Big IslandPay
$19 an hour, Pay is negotiable depending on experienceResponsibilities
- Assist with processing payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee payroll records and data integrity.
- Provide clerical support, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- Support accounts payable/receivable functions as needed.
- Work closely with the accounting team on basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Strong clerical background (typing, document handling, filing, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Basic office skills, including familiarity with email and office equipment.
- Exposure to or interest in payroll, bookkeeping, AR/AP, or general accounting.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- State and Federal background check required.
