A mission-driven organization is seeking a Manager of Workforce Development to strengthen internal talent pipelines, align workforce capabilities with organizational goals, and build partnerships that foster career advancement and employee engagement. This position will focus on long-term workforce planning, performance support, training program delivery, and strategic collaboration with hiring teams and external institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute workforce development strategies aligned with company goals
  • Design and lead training, coaching, and employee development initiatives
  • Partner with leadership to enhance performance, retention, and succession planning
  • Build and manage external relationships with schools, nonprofits, and employers
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts through job description development and outreach planning
  • Provide real-time guidance on employee relations, performance issues, and organizational change
  • Analyze labor market data to inform talent pipeline strategies and program direction
  • Draft and update personnel policies and processes to ensure compliance and clarity
  • Seek funding and grant opportunities to support program expansion and innovation
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through employee engagement strategies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong understanding of labor market trends and workforce planning
  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Detail-oriented with solid project management and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; HRIS and workforce analytics experience a plus
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) preferred
