- Conduct comprehensive reviews of academic literature related to community housing solutions, focusing on trauma-informed, wrap-around service models.
- Compare and contrast 'Community First' and 'Housing First' models, evaluating metrics such as retention rates, service engagement, and health outcomes.
- Emphasize models similar to the housing Initiative, particularly 'tiny home' developments.
- Synthesize findings into a national knowledgebase summary with best practices and recommendations.
- Prepare final reports that include impact analysis, best practices, gaps, and recommendations.
- Provide comparative analysis of Housing First vs. Community First models.
- Support organization in establishing proof of concept for the housing model.
- Compile and analyze survey and interview data to identify trends and insights.
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Highlight key observations, quotes, and qualitative insights for inclusion in final reporting.
- Evaluate community and resident impact, needs, and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Urban Planning, Sociology, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience conducting applied research and evaluation projects.
- Strong knowledge of housing and homelessness interventions, particularly Housing First and Community First models.
- Excellent writing and data analysis skills.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews and survey development.
- Ability to synthesize academic literature into practical recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Hawaii's housing and homelessness systems preferred.
