A law firm in the downtown Honolulu area and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to our attorneys and contribute to the smooth operation of our office.

Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

Pay

$65,000 to $70,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and proofread legal documents from dictation.
  • Manage and maintain client files and records.
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and other agencies.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries.
  • Assist with legal research and case preparation.
  • Manage attorneys' calendars and coordinate meetings.
  • Process and organize incoming and outgoing mail.

Qualifications

  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a law office preferred.
