Non-Profit Bookkeeper

A non-profit organization is seeking detail-oriented and experienced Non-Profit Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the non-profit's housing mission while utilizing your accounting expertise. This is a temporary position that will run to the end of the year, with a possibility of extension.

Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$30 an hour

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable entries and maintain backup documentation.
• Assist with accounting system reconciliation in QuickBooks.
• Support timecard entries and payroll allocations reconciliation.
• Record and allocate payroll by identifying source and project site.
• Gather information for invoice processing.
• Support data entry and reconciliation for revenue sources.
• Manage data entry for donor information in customer relationship management system and Salesforce.
• Assist with vendor compliance and information filings for contractors, including supportive documents.
• Process tax exemption forms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Non-profit accounting experience or experience with housing development preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office suite.
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience with templates, filters, tables, and data management.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
