A non-profit organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research & Evaluation Project Lead. This role is crucial in advancing our understanding of community-first housing models and their impact on addressing homelessness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research methodologies, data analysis, and a deep understanding of housing and homelessness interventions. This is a temporary position, running approximately 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and analysis of research projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews on community-first housing models and wrap-around service housing solutions.
  • Design and distribute surveys for residents, service providers, and construction building partners.
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders, residents, service partners, operators, and community leaders.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of collected data.
  • Prepare detailed reports synthesizing findings and providing recommendations.
  • Conduct comparative analysis of various community and housing models.
  • Maintain strong documentation of all sources and methods.
  • Ensure culturally competent and ethical engagement with all community participants.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, social work, urban planning, sociology, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting research and evaluation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of housing and homelessness interventions, particularly housing-first and community-first models.
  • Excellent writing and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with qualitative research methods, including interviews and survey development.
  • Ability to compare and contrast housing models focusing on metrics such as retention rates, service engagement, and health and stability outcomes.
  • Proficiency in synthesizing complex information and presenting it in clear, concise reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations.
