An established membership-based organization is seeking a Program & Policy Administrator to help shape public policy priorities, coordinate advocacy initiatives, and provide support to member committees and programs. This role combines legislative monitoring, research, and relationship-building with program administration. Candidates with government affairs or advocacy experience are highly preferred.

$65,000 to $70,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Support committee(s) in setting policy priorities, strategies, and action plans.
- Conduct research and draft position summaries, reports, and correspondence to support advocacy and program goals.
- Provide administrative support for committee meetings, including notices, agendas, minutes, and follow-up.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and policy issues that affect members and keep leadership informed.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, community partners, and decision-makers.
- Draft or review written/oral testimony and assist in advocacy campaigns when needed.
- Coordinate partnerships and coalitions with other organizations on shared policy goals.
- Oversee deliverables of consultants or vendors supporting advocacy initiatives.
- During election years, coordinate voter education activities such as candidate forums, voter guides, and registration drives.
- Assist with broader organizational programs and events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts & Sciences, Business, Public Policy, or related field OR 3+ years of program/advocacy management experience.
- Background in government affairs, advocacy, or public policy preferred.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal) with the ability to draft reports, policies, and correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with databases and online tools.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and discretion with sensitive information.
