Manufacturing Supervisor (Swing Shift)

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our client in the Aquaculture industry. This full-time, swing shift position plays a crucial role in overseeing the extraction and tableting process activities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all processes adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for Food and Dietary Supplements, Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), and State Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

Hours

Full-time, Swing Shift- 2:00pm-10:30pm (Various days including weekends)

Location

Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Pay

$29 an hour

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage Spirulina Processors, Ax Processors, and Tablet Press Operators
• Oversee production systems, including dewatering, drying technologies, extraction, powder handling, and tablet production
• Perform inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities and company protocols
• Ensure daily production goals and efficiencies are met
• Train workers on an ongoing basis and document all training processes and procedures properly
• Investigate and document all accidents appropriately
• Coach employees on Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Manage personnel activities, including timely performance appraisals, timekeeping, and disciplinary actions
• Explore and implement process improvements for greater efficiencies

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED), Associate degree, or a combination of relevant education and work experience
• Preferred experience with GMP and HACCP compliance in a related industry
• Proficiency in PC-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Outstanding organizational, administrative, and time management abilities
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate forklifts and tractors
• Willingness to work in humid processing areas and outside in a sunny, warm climate
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background check
