We are seeking a Claims Operations Associate to support the daily functions of a busy claims department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role involves handling claim intake, customer calls, and document processing, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities in reporting and data management as experience grows.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. May require occasional overtime.Location

$19 to $20 an hourResponsibilities
- Process incoming claim notices received via email, fax, or mail; enter claim details into the system and upload supporting documents.
- Handle inbound claim-related calls, including new claim intake and inquiries from policyholders, claimants, and service providers.
- Answer and route general operator calls to appropriate departments.
- Monitor shared email inboxes and distribute communications to the correct team members.
- Prepare, scan, and quality-check incoming mail and inter-office documents.
- Generate and maintain departmental reports and claim metrics.
- Enter and update data in the claims system with accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- 2-3+ years of general office experience (3+ years preferred for senior-level consideration).
- Experience in customer service, call center, or insurance environment a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Accurate keyboarding (40-45 WPM).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
