This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, leading a team of project managers and engineers, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. - Supervise and mentor a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Establish clear goals and performance expectations to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement across all phases of project operations.
- Reinforce a strong culture of safety and compliance in all field and office activities.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
- Oversee daily operations, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and cost control.
- Anticipate potential challenges, identify risks, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with internal departments—including procurement, engineering, and finance—to maintain project momentum and clarity.
- Review, negotiate, and administer contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and change orders to maintain project profitability and compliance.
- Oversee project reporting and financial tracking to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Evaluate and enhance operational systems to improve productivity, communication, and project outcomes.
- Implement best practices in project planning, scheduling, and cost management.
- Drive consistency and accountability through standardized workflows and documentation practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, clients, and key partners, ensuring expectations are met and communication is proactive.
- Cultivate strong client relationships and promote repeat business through professionalism and reliability.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical and operational insights during project planning and proposal phases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in construction, project management, or operations leadership.
- Strong understanding of large-scale project planning, cost control, and scheduling.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel interisland as needed (approximately 25%).
