Seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Manager to lead the HR operations and support a growing team of attorneys and staff. Ideal candidates will be strategic thinkers who can foster a culture of collaboration, professional development and excellence.

$60,000 to $70,000 a year, DOE

Responsibilities

  • Develop policies and objectives in support of the firm's philosophy of collaboration, professional development and excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR functions, including hiring, separations, benefit administration, performance reviews, employee counseling, handbook revisions and communications.
  • Directly supervise and manager the messengers, receptionist and file room staff.
  • Manage all facilities to include main office space, off-site storage and sub-leased space.
  • Handle purchasing of office supplies and service of office equipment, printing services and maintenance and service contracts.
  • Control office access and security including inventory and supply of building access cards.
  • Maintain parking assignments and communicate with building garage personnel as needed.
  • Schedule, attend and implement the decisions of the monthly marketing committee meetings. Prepare and distribute minutes to the partners.
  • Work with Marketing Committee, graphic design firm and public relations firm on all aspects of firm marketing and public relations, print ad development and issue management.
  • Coordinate annual holiday party, summer picnic, client luncheons and receptions, firm receptions and other events as needed.
  • Manage, trace and follow up on all over 90-day accounts receivables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from accredited college or university.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal employment law, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
