A local company is seeking an experienced HR/Benefits Specialist to support day-to-day human resources and benefits administration. This role is responsible for managing employee data, processing benefit transactions, assisting staff and clients with HR-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-service minded, highly organized, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

- Enter new hire information and maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Process benefit elections, changes, and related transactions.
- Prepare and compile data, reports, and requested information.
- Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person regarding new hire information, payroll, and benefits.
- Create, maintain, and update paper and electronic file systems, including insurance carrier records.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support.
- Manage day-to-day benefits activities for client employees.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of HR, benefits, or administrative experience.
- Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll/benefit systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deliver high-level customer service and support.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Consistent work performance, reliability, and attendance.
