Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable Clerk to join a dynamic team in the automotive industry. As an integral part of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the accounts payable process while utilizing specialized automotive software.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am.-5:00pm.

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $22 an hour

Responsibilities

• Utilize automotive-specific software for data entry and financial management.
• Perform coding and posting of invoices and expenses.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Process and record general ledger entries accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of payments.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an AP Clerk or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems quickly.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Background or familiarity with the automotive industry is a plus.
