AP Accountant

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm/ 8:00am-4:30pm

Location

Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$28 an hour

Responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update vendor information in the accounting system.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports using Excel.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and department stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Minimum of one year experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting.
• Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
