The Risk Manager is responsible for overseeing and promoting workplace safety, health, environmental compliance, and quality assurance across company operations. This role ensures that all work activities, systems, and construction projects comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards while fostering a strong culture of safety and accountability.
The Risk Manager works in both office and field environments, providing hands-on leadership through inspections, training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to protect employees, contractors, and the organization.

$80,000 to $100,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents and ensure all documentation, reporting, and corrective actions are completed and maintained.
- Monitor, implement, and communicate new and existing health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct and facilitate risk assessments, including manual handling, fall protection plans, electrical safety, and other job-specific hazards.
- Perform occupational health and safety surveys related to noise, lighting, and chemical exposure.
- Deliver safety awareness training, conduct site inspections, and lead toolbox talks.
- Complete regular preventative safety inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct annual health and safety audits and support quality assurance initiatives.
- Ensure required construction accreditations are achieved, maintained, and renewed.
- Develop, maintain, and improve safety training programs, training matrices, employee inductions, and in-house training.
- Support audit preparation and ensure ongoing compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar safety or management role.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, site inspections, incident investigations, and audit preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
- Essential: Valid CSR Site Card.
- Preferred: Environmental Management Systems qualification, General Management qualification, and/or IOSH Safety, Health, and Environment for Construction Workers certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain security clearance for federal job sites.
- Willingness to travel off-island within the State of Hawaii as required.
