A private US elections company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Lead to join their team for a 7-month assignment from May 1, 2026, to December 1, 2026. The successful candidate will serve as the project management lead for the County of Kauai and will be responsible for designing, conducting, and documenting all training classes statewide. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager with overall project coordination and oversight statewide.
  • Manage project team performance, communication, and cohesion.
  • Adhere to the integrated project and personnel schedule.
  • Prepare performance and progress update reports for management and customers.
  • Manage relationships with the Elections Administrator and staff for the County of Kauai, other counties, and the Office of Elections (OE).
  • Plan, design, and execute effective training programs for election staff and project support staff across all counties.
  • Train county and OE staff in Verity Voting System operation.
  • Assist in administering the Hart Project Management Office (PMO) in Honolulu.
  • Support Election Night coordination for the County of Kauai.
  • Assist with staffing and operation of the Counting Center building in the County of Kauai.
  • Coordinate Observer's Tests statewide.
  • Contribute to a comprehensive Project Close Report by January 31, 2027.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility to commit to a 7-month assignment beginning in May 2026.
  • Previous project lead experience.
  • Ability to represent the company's interests proficiently in the State of Hawaii.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong project management and coordination abilities.
  • Willingness to travel inter-island for training and coordination purposes.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with election processes and voting systems preferred.
