A local company is seeking a clinical operations trainer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive training and competency program for hospital and patient services staff. This role supports operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff readiness related to the distribution of blood and blood components. The Trainer works closely with departmental leadership, quality teams, and frontline staff, and is expected to maintain hands-on proficiency in operational duties while serving as a subject matter expert and training resource.

$19 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain department-wide training and competency programs for hospital and laboratory services staff.
  • Assess training needs, analyze performance gaps, and implement targeted training and retraining plans.
  • Ensure all training, competency, and certification documentation is accurate, complete, secure, and compliant with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate competency assessments, evaluate performance, and determine training progression and pass/fail outcomes.
  • Maintain operational proficiency and perform hospital services technician duties as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting SOP development, review, validation, change control, and staff training on procedural updates.
  • Partner with quality, patient services, and leadership teams to support cGMPs, regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist with deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to support training resources and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in blood bank, hospital services, or regulated distribution/manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Prior training, education, or competency assessment experience preferred.
  • Experience with quality assurance or regulated environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA or healthcare regulatory requirements is a plus.
