$95,000 to $100,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, fixed assets, capital expenditures, inventory, leases, and intercompany transactions.
- Lead the quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, posting, and approval of journal entries.
- Manage the Sage Fixed Assets system and reconcile activities with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Spearhead quarterly general ledger reconciliations, review accounts, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Maintain annual budgets and support fiscal year-end closing activities.
- Recruit, lead, and develop the Accounting Team, including the internal and offshore Expense Team.
- Document and update workflow processes and implementing system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Partner with management and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Communicate financial expectations, deadlines, and process changes across departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. (CPA preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience overseeing capital projects of $10 million or more and gross revenues of $100 million.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Sage, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in mentoring and developing accounting teams.
