A local construction company is seeking a part-time administrative assistant to provide support across multiple departments, including accounting, HR, estimating, safety, and project management.

This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can manage a variety of administrative tasks, prioritize effectively, and work indepenedently in a fast-paced office setting.

Hours

Part-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Kalihi, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$24 to $26 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and deliveries
  • Manage office supplies and maintain office equipment
  • Coordinate service and repair appointments
  • Assist with security access and parking pass coordination
  • Maintain inventory logs and general office records
  • File and organize accounting documents
  • Match packing slips to invoices and request certificates of insurance
  • Reconcile gas and credit card charges to monthly statements
  • Assist with union reporting and follow up on past-due receivables
  • Enter employee timecards into the database
  • Serve as backup support for payroll processing
  • Download, print, and collate bid documents
  • Update and maintain the master bid list
  • Distribute bid information and drawings to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Assist project management with material ordering and equipment follow-up
  • Provide administrative support for safety documentation and compliance activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
