We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner to join our client's dynamic team in the Science & Research industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive HR initiatives, support organizational growth, and foster a positive workplace culture as the deputy to the Chief HR Officer.

$90,000 to $108,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership and management, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, offering guidance on HR matters and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies while managing risk.
  • Foster positive employee relations and contribute to the development of a thriving organizational culture.
  • Oversee HR operations and policy development to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead talent development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform HR strategies and decision-making.
  • Serve as Acting HR Leader in the absence of the Chief HR Officer.
  • Participate in various committees, including HR-related and cross-functional teams, to provide strategic HR insights.
  • Assist with special projects, including cross-departmental initiatives and organizational change efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a technical field from an accredited four-year college or university (equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience will also be considered).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience across compensation, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, and performance management.
  • Certification in Human Resources: SPHR/PHR, SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP, or GPHR.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic HR leadership and partner effectively with senior management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency in change management and cultural competency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
