A company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager & Accountant. This role combines administrative oversight with financial management, playing a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and office administration, with a particular focus on the hospitality or food and beverage industry.

Pay

$70,000 to $85,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Manage timely renewal of business licenses, liquor licenses, and regulatory permits.
  • Monitor lease agreements and track renewal deadlines.
  • Process government forms, business filings, and corporate expense reports.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for office administrative needs and general corporate inquiries.
  • Organize documents and maintain office supplies.
  • Record accounting transactions and report financial information accurately and timely.
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage bank accounts and cash balances.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure accurate entry assignments.
  • Oversee invoice payment process for all restaurant locations.
  • Develop and document internal accounting controls and recordkeeping systems.
  • Provide instructions to bookkeeping personnel and direct their daily work activities.
  • Visit restaurant locations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or food and beverage industry.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/Accounting Software and Spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Hawaii-specific business regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with restaurant-level managers and corporate executives.
  • Proven ability to meet strict monthly and annual filing deadlines.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use hands frequently for typing and data entry.
  • Capable of occasionally lifting or moving office supplies/files up to 25-50 lbs.
  • Japanese language skills are a plus.
