$80,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on workplace concerns, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle confidential employee information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, background checks, offers, and onboarding.
  • Process payroll accurately, maintain payroll records, assist with employee payroll inquiries, and coordinate with the accounting team.
  • Address employee relations matters, conduct workplace investigations, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Administer employee benefits, process enrollments and changes, and manage TDI and unemployment insurance claims.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and HR best practices.
  • Work with store leadership to address staffing needs and support efficient store operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing payroll systems, with ADP preferred.
  • Working knowledge of retirement programs, including 401(k), profit sharing, and related compliance requirements.
  • Well-rounded understanding of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of employment and labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write policies and clearly communicate HR information to employees and management.
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in HR operations or strategic people-partner roles.
  • Ability to comply with a pre-employment drug test and State and Federal background check.
