The ideal candidate will have hands-on payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential employee information. At least one year of payroll processing experience is required. Experience with ADP is preferred; however, candidates with experience using other payroll or HRIS systems will be considered. You’ll play an important role in supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle and helping keep essential HR and payroll processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Process all aspects of bi-weekly payroll, including reviewing electronic timecards, researching discrepancies, making corrections, processing employee changes, and issuing manual checks when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data and prepare payroll-related reports as needed.
  • Support the full recruitment process, including scheduling and conducting interviews, identifying qualified candidates, and coordinating job offers.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure required employment documentation is completed and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and records.
  • Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions, policies, and procedures.
  • Support benefits administration, including employee enrollment and eligibility changes.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and work with management to promote positive employee relationships.
  • Complete employment and wage verifications and other HR reporting as needed.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment and payroll requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on payroll processing experience required.
  • Experience with ADP preferred, but experience with other payroll/HRIS platforms will be considered.
  • Recruitment and new hire onboarding experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of payroll practices and federal/state employment requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when processing payroll.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with management and employees.
