Trust Accountant

If you have a solid accounting background and enjoy detailed financial work, this position offers the opportunity to manage accounting activities for multiple client trust funds while being part of an established professional team.

Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00am -4:00pm

Pay

$50,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Process cash disbursements, cash receipts, and fund transfers for multiple client trust fund.
• Maintain cash management schedules and reconcile monthly bank and co-trustee statements.
• Process payroll for various client trust funds.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Prepare year-end 1099 filings and required governmental reports.
• Maintain schedules for monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
• Review expense reports for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized trust fund accounting records.
• Gather and organize information for auditors.
• Coordinate external audits and assist with reviewing audited financial statements and tax returns.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience preferred.
• Payroll experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities.
