Construction Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on active job sites in Waipahu and throughout Oʻahu. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for keeping projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to schedule and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who can effectively manage crews and subcontractors, solve problems as they arise, and work closely with the project management team.

Pay

$100,000 to $140,000 a year, DOE

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, and construction crews.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively identify and resolve potential delays.
• Enforce jobsite safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets plans and specifications.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with the project team.
• Lead subcontractor and jobsite safety meetings.
• Prepare and maintain daily field reports.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer on schedules, budgets, and RFIs.
• Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction superintendent experience in commercial or residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction means and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
• Proven ability to lead construction crews and subcontractors.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an active construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
