The firm’s practice includes construction defect, class action, and consumer law. You will be representing a diverse range of clients including community associations, property owners, schools, municipalities, and other organizations.

$100,000 to $160,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written work.
  • Manage assigned case responsibilities with partner oversight.
  • Coordinate and work effectively with expert witnesses.
  • Assist with case strategy, preparation, and ongoing litigation matters.
  • Manage deadlines and prioritize multiple case assignments.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

  • Active member of the Hawaii State Bar in good standing.
  • 3–7 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage responsibilities while working collaboratively with a team.
  • Sound professional judgment and strong follow-through.
  • Construction defect and/or class action experience is a plus.
  • Experience working with expert witnesses preferred.
