Property Accountant

We are looking for someone who is ready to start or grow their accounting career in commercial real estate! In this role, you will provide full-cycle accounting and monthly reporting for a portfolio of properties, with focus ranging from billings/payables/cash receipts to general ledger, reconciliations, property budgets, and financial statements.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$60,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Oversee billings/payables/cash receipts to general ledger, reconciliations, property budgets, and financial statements for assigned properties.
• Meet monthly reporting deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Provide financial advice to your property and general managers within your portfolio.
• Build positive working relationships with your team members, sharing your expertise and collaborating as a group.
• Coordinate the integration of new properties into the accounting workflow.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• College degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and 10-key with the ability to adapt to various software programs.
• Familiarity with commercial property accounting software such as Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (Timberline), Yardi, and MRI a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive mindset and “can do” attitude.
