Lihue, Kauai Full-time $90k to $125k a year

A successful contractor is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise from start to finish a wide range of construction projects on Kauai.

This role will oversee construction projects and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner, according to requirements and without exceeding budget. Additional responsibilities include managing multiple jobs/crews, handling project scheduling, overseeing budgets, reading project plans, handling RFI’s and submittals, and understanding OSHA rules and importance of safety. The qualified candidate will have previous experience managing construction projects and possess in-depth knowledge of construction procedures and principles.

Client is willing to provide relocation assistance from the neighbor islands to Kauai for the right candidate. Additionally, they provide an excellent benefits package including profit sharing, full medical/dental/vision, flex spending, vehicle allowance/company vehicle, and yearly bonuses.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (flexible OT depending on weather and project deadlines)

Pay

$90,000 to $125,000 a year, plus bonus and profit sharing

Responsibilities

  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
  • Determine needed project resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Acquire equipment and material.
  • Supervise the work of laborers, operators, etc. and give them direction when needed.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven construction project manager experience with in-depth understanding of construction procedures/material and project management principles.
  • Construction management degree preferred but not required.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 desired but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Projects and familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Team player with leadership abilities.
  • Motivated, hardworking, trustworthy.
