Estimator

A local company is looking for a full-time Estimator to join their team. This position oversees roofing projects including but not limited to obtaining cost proposals, preparing documents, permits and schedules, generating budgets, and performing cost analyses.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in commercial construction estimating, however, they are willing to consider those without experience willing to learn and grow into the role. If this sounds like a job for you, apply today for immediate consideration.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm

Pay

$50,000 to $100,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and complete job estimates.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Read and understand civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical drawings, as they relate to roofing and waterproofing.
• Utilize electronic plan reading and measuring software to quantify projects quantities.
• Write complete and detailed project proposals.
• Read, understand, and provide project schedules.
• Gather and analyze vendor, supplier, and subcontractor bids.
• Determine the appropriate material, labor, and equipment costs for projects for each estimate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in construction, engineering, or business is extremely helpful.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able and willing to learn, and work on a team.
• Thrive under deadlines.
• Ability to multitask.
