A local nonprofit is looking for a full-time Events Administrator to join their team and assist with overseeing conference proposals and submissions, managing and coordinating events, overseeing the management and production of webinars, and working with multiple committees involved with various events and programs.

The qualified candidate will have their bachelor's in business, communication, or marketing, or three years of relevant work experience, possess excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and customer service skills, and be a team player and team oriented.

This is a full-time position and parking is provided.

Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm (flexible)

Pay

$50,000 to $55,000 a year, Depending on Experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee conference proposals and submissions.
  • Manage online paper abstract and review system.
  • Organize, coordinate, and work with program committee on proposal reviews.
  • Collaborate with conference program speakers, moderators, and handlers.
  • Set up and maintain online conference program.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual awards event, including overseeing submissions and working with awards committee.
  • Oversee webinar management and production.
  • Support research committee.
  • Assist with stage management for on-site featured speakers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, IT or three (3) years relevant work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to type 55+ wpm.
  • Experience as a host user for Zoom video conference platform is preferred.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Team oriented and committed to working in a positive, flexible, and collaborative manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals from all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple tasks and projects, and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or long hours, when necessary.
