A local credit union is seeking a Teller Clerk to join their team at the Kona branch. This position is a great opportunity to get your foot into the financial industry. Candidates in this role will need to be customer service oriented and have excellent communication skills.

  • Provide customer service in person, via phone, and through mail.
  • Provide a variety of paying and receiving functions for members.
  • Assist with transactions and other credit union services.
  • Process member transactions involving cash, checks, and negotiable instruments.
  • Process changes of names, addresses, and other account information as needed to update files.
  • Actively seek opportunities to cross sell appropriate and applicable products and services.
  • Disburse cash or check share withdrawals in person, by phone, or by mail.
  • Receive share deposits and loan payments and process the transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • High school graduate/GED equivalent with 6 months cash handling experience.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of credit union operations and procedures.
