Captive Financial Consultant (Hybrid)

Do you have experience in the finance industry and are looking to join a successful firm? A local insurance firm is immediately adding a Financial Consultant to their team.

In this role you will provide finance and accounting support to the firm's clients, provide informational seminars, recommend operational best practices, and provide training for new employees.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience in the finance field. Fluency in Business Japanese is highly desirable, but not required.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (flexible)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical finance and accounting support for ongoing captive insurance clients including annual financial audits, actuarial report and board of director’s reports.
• Communicate captive performance to clients via financial projections and prior year financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements incl. annual CAP filings and recurring HID exam responses.
• Provide technical finance and insurance support for new client setup including gathering and reviewing application information, completing applications, and explaining the process.
• Develop and present informational seminars and develop marketing material for appropriate audiences.
• Recommend ‘best practice’ revisions to unit SOPs, organization and work processes.
• As requested, provide training and knowledge transfer to captive management team, including new associate onboarding & ongoing training support.

Qualifications

• College degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional position (underwriting, accounting, financial, or banking).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency using data bases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to travel out of state/country as needed.

Preferred:

• MBA or J.D. degree preferred.
• CPA, CPCU Certification.
• Native fluency in Business Japanese.
