Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the CAD department.
  • Create and manage training programs for the CAD department focusing on developing new technical skills and continuing education.
  • Develop routine, advanced, complex technical drawings of products using CAD software and submit for approval.
  • Prepare supporting documentation that includes product materials and dimensions.
  • Communicate deadlines, prepare files, and review drafting.
  • Update internal project database.
  • Liaison between Engineering and CAD departments when needed.
  • Meet with management team and provide quarterly updates regarding CAD team successes and issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of drafting and/or managerial experience in an electrical engineering firm or comparable related industry.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: AutoCAD, Revit MEP, AGI, Easy Power, and SKM
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Motivated, hardworking, dependable.
