HR Director

Seeking an experienced HR professional to take on the HR Director role with one of Hawaii's largest distributors!

This role will develop policies and direct and manage all Human Resources activities related to compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, training, recruitment, and safety.

Qualified candidates will have their bachelor's degree in human resources management and a minimum of 10 years exempt HR experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position.

$110,000 to $140,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Oversee the worker's compensation plan.
• Conduct wage and benefit surveys to determine competitive compensation plans.
• Meet with insurance companies to negotiate premiums and services.
• Inform employees of any changes in benefits and coordinate annual open enrollment.
• Oversee payroll and benefits processing.
• Interview, hire, and train employees.
• Handle internal problems and complaints.
• Maintain and update company policy and procedures.
• Review leave requests and determine applicable leave qualifications.
• Oversee the maintenance of human resources files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of exempt Human Resources experience with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design, develop, and implement Human Resources programs.
• Ability to multitask and be very flexible with changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of all sensitive data.
