A local healthcare company is looking for an IT professional to join their team and assist with managing the company's systems and network security. This includes performing system backups and restores, overseeing network and security audits, and performing software and hardware upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree in the field of computer science and previous hands-on experience working with enterprise computer systems, servers, and hardware.

Full-time, 40 hours with on-call availability

Pay

$70,000 to $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operating systems and end-user software.
  • Manage input/output fleet, including printers and scanners.
  • Create required reports in response to business user needs.
  • Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware and software problems on servers.
  • Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
  • Perform network and security audits.
  • Perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches and reconfigurations.
  • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services.
  • Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and all host security systems.
  • Manage communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science and/or one year of equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience with knowledge of advanced computer hardware, including blade servers and SANs.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, and Linux.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Knowledge of local area network administration.
  • Knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
  • Knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including Firewalls, Active Directory, etc.
  • Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
