Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team and assist with the general operations of the finance department. In this role, you will handle various accounting duties such as general bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, and preparing financial reports. The qualified candidate will have previous accounting experience and/or equivalent education, be proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, and possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

$20 to $30 an hour

Responsibilities

• Pay invoices and collect payments.
• Prepare and mail invoices.
• Prepare financial reports.
• Maintain accounting ledgers and reconcile statements and transactions.
• Resolve account discrepancies.
• Maintain and secure financial historical records and financial information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting experience and/or equivalent education required.
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in mathematics.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong customer service and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
• Motivated, detail oriented, and hardworking.
