Career Navigator

A non-profit organization located in Kahului is seeking a Career Navigator to join their team and assist with their career services programs by conducting outreach and handling intake, assessments, and orientations for program participants. Additionally, this role is tasked with researching and identifying vocational opportunities in the community and developing and maintaining relationships with vocational partners.

The qualified candidate will have their bachelor's degree and 1 year of related work experience.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:45am-4:30pm

Pay

$46,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Assist with career services programs and conducts outreach and handles intake, assessments, and orientations.
• Handle case management of program participants including employment preparation, job placement, and job retention needs.
• Research and identify vocational training opportunities in the community.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vocational training partners.
• Record and maintain database of participants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) and 1 year of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented, motivated, hardworking, trustworthy.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 10lbs.
