Director of Finance and HR

A local school is seeking a Director of Finance and HR to join their team and manage the financial elements of the organization to ensure a high-functioning, financially-sound school environment. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day finances, track the school's budget, manage employee information, and process payroll bi-weekly.

Qualified candidates will have their bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in accounting, human resources, payroll, or related field.

Pay

$71,000 to $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Manage, track, and update the school's budget.
• Manage all financial transactions including purchases, reimbursements, billing, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts and Federal Grant funds.
• Oversee and prepare documentation for annual audit.
• Prepare budget for grant requests and manage program budgets.
• Collect, track and file new/changes/termination of employee paperwork.
• Manage changes in employee information on relevant platforms (such as addresses, deductions and salary changes).
• Track and manage employee leave and leave balances.
• Enter new employees in payroll system.
• Process payroll bi-weekly, including updating employee benefits and adjustments as needed.
• Process time entry for contract employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, human resources, payroll, or related field. 
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn the budgeting process, laws, rules, procedures, and programs.
