Seeking a Benefits Generalist for a full-time opening with a company that has been family owned and operated for over 80 years!

In this role, you will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, collaborating with benefit providers, coordinating open enrollments, and maintaining benefits-related data and records.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$60,000 to $65,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs and coordinate with benefit providers to ensure seamless delivery of benefits services.
  • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations of employee benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.
  • Resolve any inconsistencies or issues related to employee coverage, claims, or billing.
  • Determine employee benefit interests by conducting employee surveys, forming focus groups, and analyzing responses.
  • Prepare and submit required reports, such as annual compliance filings, to regulatory authorities and management.
  • Plan and execute annual open enrollment processes, coordinating communication, training, and enrollment activities.
  • Work closely with HR and payroll departments to ensure correct benefits-related data.
  • Explain employee benefits by conducting meetings, preparing written and graphic announcements, presentations, and explanations, and responding to requests for information.
  • Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential.
  • Collaborate with other members of HR team to drive recruitment and retention strategies through the deployment of benefits programs that adhere to best practices and ensure company’s competitive position in talent acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or finance; MBA or master’s degree in human resources a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws governing compensation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality.
